The contact points being modified, polished to increase contact area in order to improve reliability and reduce noises. For the perfectionist, an integral Copper coverplate/shield is included to absorb harmful air born RF. The shield is constructed of high quality polished Copper and grounded to the mains socket. High-grade 24K Gold plated Clipsal sockets are used. The contacts have been modified and polished to increase total contact area (thereby reducing contact resistance) in order to improve reliability and reduce noise.
